git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/qcom/linux into arm/drivers More Qualcomm driver updates for 5.13 This improves the Qualcomm SCM driver logic related to detecting the calling convention, in particular on SC7180, and fixes a few small issues in the same. It introduces additonal sanity checks of the size of loaded segments in the MDT loader and adds a missing error in the return path of pdr_register_listener(). It makes it possible to specify the OEM specific firmware path in the wcn36xx control (and WiFi) driver. Lastly it adds a missing path specifier in the MAINTAINERS' entry and fixes a bunch of kerneldoc issues in various drivers. * tag 'qcom-drivers-for-5.13-2' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/qcom/linux: soc: qcom: mdt_loader: Detect truncated read of segments soc: qcom: mdt_loader: Validate that p_filesz < p_memsz soc: qcom: pdr: Fix error return code in pdr_register_listener firmware: qcom_scm: Fix kernel-doc function names to match firmware: qcom_scm: Suppress sysfs bind attributes firmware: qcom_scm: Workaround lack of "is available" call on SC7180 firmware: qcom_scm: Reduce locking section for __get_convention() firmware: qcom_scm: Make __qcom_scm_is_call_available() return bool soc: qcom: wcnss_ctrl: Allow reading firmware-name from DT soc: qcom: wcnss_ctrl: Introduce local variable "dev" dt-bindings: soc: qcom: wcnss: Add firmware-name property soc: qcom: address kernel-doc warnings MAINTAINERS: add another entry for ARM/QUALCOMM SUPPORT Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20210409162001.775851-1-bjorn.andersson@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>

2021-01-20ARM: remove zte zx platformArnd Bergmann
The ZTE ZX set-top-box SoC platform was added in 2015 by Jun Nie, with Baoyou Xie and Shawn Guo subsequently becoming maintainers after the addition of the 64-bit variant. However, the only machines that were ever supported upstream are the reference designs, not actual set-top-box devices that would benefit from this support. All ZTE set-top-boxes from the past few years seem to be based on third-party SoCs. While there is very little information about zx296702 and zx296718 on the web, I found some references to other chips from the same family, such as zx296716 and zx296719, which were never submitted for upstream support. Finally, there is no support for the GPU on either of them, with the lima and panfrost device drivers having been added after work on the zx platform had stopped. Shawn confirmed that he has not seen any interest in this platform for the past four years, and that it can be removed. Thanks to Jun and Shawn for maintaining this platform over the past five years. 2020-12-09dt-bindings: soc: xlnx: extract xlnx, vcu-settings to separate bindingMichael Tretter
The xlnx, vcu binding comprises two adjacent register banks: The first register bank ("vcu_slcr") contains registers for setting the clocks of the vcu and controlling the performance monitors. The second bank ("logicoreip") contains the configuration settings of the video codec unit, which are set before synthesizing the bitstream. Drivers that drive the actual video codec unit need to read the registers from the logicoreip register bank for configuring the vcu firmware. As logicoreip is a too generic name for this register bank, use "vcu-settings" as a binding name, because the register bank basically provides the configuration settings of the VCU. Therefore, add the vcu-settings binding to provide a syscon interface for other drivers to read these registers. The alternative would have been to merge the two register banks of the xlnx, vcu binding into one register bank and make xlnx, vcu provide a syscon interface, but that would lead to more incompatibility than making second register bank of xlnx, vcu optional. This patch adds the bindings for the Programmable Real-Time Unit and Industrial Communication Subsystem (PRU-ICSS) present on various TI SoCs. The IP is present on multiple TI SoC architecture families including the OMAP architecture SoCs such as AM33xx, AM437x and AM57xx; and on a Keystone 2 architecture based 66AK2G SoC. It is also present on the Davinci based OMAPL138 SoCs and K3 architecture based AM65x and J721E SoCs as well. The IP has a number of sub-modules some of which are represented as their own devices. This binding covers only the top-level sub-system devices, and some sub-modules like MDIO, MII_RT (Ethernet MII_RT module with MII ports) and IEP (Industrial Ethernet Peripheral). The remaining sub-modules bindings shall be defined in the respective driver subsystem bindings folders. Couple of full examples have also been added demonstrating the devices on AM335x and AM437x SoCs.
