Includes one MAINTAINERS update to avoid people getting a lot of bounce messages and complaining about it. * MAINTAINERS - Drop Stefan Popa's Analog Devices email address in favour of Michael Hennerich. * core - Fix handling of dB sysfs inputs. - Drop a stray semi colon in macro definition. * ad5770r - Fix an off by one in chec on maximum number of channels. * ad7192 - Fix a null pointer de-reference due to the name previously being retrieved from the spi_get_device_id call which no longer works as the relevant table was removed. * ad7797 - Use correct attribute group. * counter/104-quad-8 - Add locks to prevent some race conditions. * inv-mpu6050 - Fix issues around suspend / resume clashing with runtime PM. * stm32-adc - Fix sleep in invalid context - Fix id relative path error in device tree binding doc. * st_lsm6dsx - Fix a read alignment issue on an untagged FIFO. - Handle odr for slave to properly compute the FIFO data layout / pattern. - Flush the HW FIFO before resettting the device to avoid a race on interrupt line 1. * st_sensors - Rely on ODR mask not ODR address to identify if the ODR can be set. Some devices have an ODR address of 0. * ti-ads8344 - Byte ordering was wrong - fix it. * xilinx-xadc - Fix inverted logic in powering down the second ADC. - Fix clearing interrupt when enabling the trigger. - Fix configuration of sequencer when in simultaneous sampling mode. - Limit initial sampling rate as done for runtime configured ones. * tag 'iio-fixes-for-5.7a' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jic23/iio: MAINTAINERS: remove Stefan Popa's email iio: adc: ad7192: fix null pointer de-reference crash during probe iio: core: remove extra semi-colon from devm_iio_device_register() macro iio: adc: ti-ads8344: properly byte swap value iio: imu: inv_mpu6050: fix suspend/resume with runtime power iio: st_sensors: rely on odr mask to know if odr can be set iio: xilinx-xadc: Make sure not exceed maximum samplerate iio: xilinx-xadc: Fix sequencer configuration for aux channels in simultaneous mode iio: xilinx-xadc: Fix clearing interrupt when enabling trigger iio: xilinx-xadc: Fix ADC-B powerdown iio: dac: ad5770r: fix off-by-one check on maximum number of channels iio: imu: st_lsm6dsx: flush hw FIFO before resetting the device iio: core: Fix handling of 'dB' dt-bindings: iio: adc: stm32-adc: fix id relative path counter: 104-quad-8: Add lock guards - generic interface iio: imu: st_lsm6dsx: specify slave odr in slv_odr iio: imu: st_lsm6dsx: fix read misalignment on untagged FIFO iio: adc: stm32-adc: fix sleep in atomic context iio:ad7797: Use correct attribute_group

2020-04-12MAINTAINERS: sort field names for all entriesLinus Torvalds
This sorts the actual field names too, potentially causing even more chaos and confusion at merge time if you have edited the MAINTAINERS file. But the end result is a more consistent layout, and hopefully it's a one-time pain minimized by doing this just before the -rc1 release. This was entirely scripted: ./scripts/parse-maintainers.pl --input=MAINTAINERS --output=MAINTAINERS --order Requested-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2020-04-12MAINTAINERS: sort entries by entry nameLinus Torvalds
They are all supposed to be sorted, but people who add new entries don't always know the alphabet. Plus sometimes the entry names get edited, and people don't then re-order the entry. Let's see how painful this will be for merging purposes (the MAINTAINERS file is often edited in various different trees), but Joe claims there's relatively few patches in -next that touch this, and doing it just before -rc1 is likely the best time. Fingers crossed. This was scripted with /scripts/parse-maintainers.pl --input=MAINTAINERS --output=MAINTAINERS but then I also ended up manually upper-casing a few entry names that stood out when looking at the end result. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/nvdimm/nvdimm Pull libnvdimm and dax updates from Dan Williams: "There were multiple touches outside of drivers/nvdimm/ this round to add cross arch compatibility to the devm_memremap_pages() interface, enhance numa information for persistent memory ranges, and add a zero_page_range() dax operation. This cycle I switched from the patchwork api to Konstantin's b4 script for collecting tags (from x86, PowerPC, filesystem, and device-mapper folks), and everything looks to have gone ok there. This has all appeared in -next with no reported issues. 2020-04-07MAINTAINERS: list the section entries in the preferred orderJoe Perches
The MAINTAINERS file header has never shown a preferred order for the section entries but scripts/parse-maintainers.pl added a preferred order with commit 61f741645a35 ("parse-maintainers: Add section pattern sorting") Commit 5cdbec108fd2 ("parse-maintainers: Do not sort section content by default") changed the preferred order to be a bit more sensible. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/clk/linux Pull clk updates from Stephen Boyd: "There's not much to see in the core framework this time around. Instead the majority of the diff is the normal collection of driver additions for new SoCs and non-critical clk data fixes and updates. The framework must be middle aged. The two biggest directories in the diffstat show that the Qualcomm and Unisoc support added a handful of big drivers for new SoCs but that's not really the whole story because those new drivers tend to add large numbers of lines of clk data. There's a handful of AT91 clk drivers added this time around too and a bunch of improvements to drivers like the i.MX driver. All around lots of updates and fixes in various clk drivers which is good to see. The core framework has only one real major change which has been baking in next for the past couple months. It fixes the framework so that it stops caching a clk's phase when the phase clk_op returns an error. Before this change we would consider some negative errno as a phase and that just doesn't make sense.
