2022-06-06ARM: exynos: Fix refcount leak in exynos_map_pmuMiaoqian Lin
of_find_matching_node() returns a node pointer with refcount incremented, we should use of_node_put() on it when not need anymore. Add missing of_node_put() to avoid refcount leak. of_node_put() checks null pointer. 2020-08-19ARM: exynos: use private samsung_cpu_id copyArnd Bergmann
The only part of plat-samsung that is shared with arch-exynos is the CPU identification code. 2020-08-17ARM: exynos: clear L310_AUX_CTRL_NS_LOCKDOWN in default l2c_aux_valGuillaume Tucker
The L310_AUX_CTRL_NS_LOCKDOWN flag is set during the L2C enable sequence. There is no need to set it in the default register value, this was done before support for it was implemented in the code. It is not set in the hardware initial value either. Clean this up by removing this flag from the default l2c_aux_val, and add it to the l2c_aux_mask to print an alert message if it was already set before the kernel initialisation. 2020-06-23ARM: exynos: clear L310_AUX_CTRL_FULL_LINE_ZERO in default l2c_aux_valGuillaume Tucker
This "alert" error message can be seen on exynos4412-odroidx2: L2C: platform modifies aux control register: 0x02070000 -> 0x3e470001 L2C: platform provided aux values permit register corruption. Followed by this plain error message: L2C-310: enabling full line of zeros but not enabled in Cortex-A9 To fix it, don't set the L310_AUX_CTRL_FULL_LINE_ZERO flag (bit 0) in the default value of l2c_aux_val. It may instead be enabled when applicable by the logic in l2c310_enable() if the attribute "arm,full-line-zero-disable" was set in the device tree. The initial commit that introduced this default value was in v2.6.38 commit 1cf0eb799759 ("ARM: S5PV310: Add L2 cache init function in cpu.c"). However, the code to set the L310_AUX_CTRL_FULL_LINE_ZERO flag and manage that feature was added much later and the default value was not updated then. So this seems to have been a subtle oversight especially since enabling it only in the cache and not in the A9 core doesn't actually prevent the platform from running. According to the TRM, the opposite would be a real issue, if the feature was enabled in the A9 core but not in the cache controller. 2020-01-07ARM: samsung: Rename Samsung and Exynos to lowercaseKrzysztof Kozlowski
Fix up inconsistent usage of upper and lowercase letters in "Samsung" and "Exynos" names. "SAMSUNG" and "EXYNOS" are not abbreviations but regular trademarked names. Therefore they should be written with lowercase letters starting with capital letter. The lowercase "Exynos" name is promoted by its manufacturer Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., in advertisement materials and on website. Although advertisement materials usually use uppercase "SAMSUNG", the lowercase version is used in all legal aspects (e.g. on Wikipedia and in privacy/legal statements on https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/privacy-global/). 2015-08-14ARM: EXYNOS: switch to using generic cpufreq driver for exynos4x12Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz
The new CPU clock type allows the use of generic CPUfreq driver. Switch Exynos4x12 to using generic cpufreq driver. Previously (when exynos-cpufreq driver was used with boost functionality) ARM_EXYNOS_CPU_FREQ_BOOST_SW config option (which enabled boost functionality) selected EXYNOS_THERMAL one. After switching Exynos4x12 platforms to use cpufreq-dt driver boost support is enabled in the cpufreq-dt driver itself (because there are turbo OPPs defined in the board's DTS file). However we still would like to allow enabling boost support only if thermal support is also enabled for Exynos platforms. To achieve this make ARCH_EXYNOS config option select THERMAL and EXYNOS_THERMAL ones. Please also note that the switch to use the generic cpufreq-dt driver fixes the minor issue present with the old code (support for 'boost' mode in the exynos-cpufreq driver was enabled for all supported SoCs even though 'boost' frequency was provided only for Exynos4x12 ones). 2015-06-06ARM: EXYNOS: add coupled cpuidle support for Exynos3250Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz
The following patch adds coupled cpuidle support for Exynos3250 to an existing cpuidle-exynos driver. As a result it enables AFTR mode to be used by default on Exynos3250 without the need to hot unplug CPU1 first. The detailed changelog: - use exynos_[get,set]_boot_addr() in cpuidle-exynos.c and then make cpu_boot_reg_base() static - use exynos_core_restart() in exynos_cpu0_enter_aftr() - add missing smp_rmb() to exynos_cpu0_enter_aftr() (to make the code in-sync with the platform SMP code) - add call_firmware_op(cpu_boot, 1) to exynos_cpu0_enter_aftr() - use dsb_sev() instead of IPI wakeup for Exynos3250 in exynos_cpu0_enter_aftr() - add CPU0 vs CPU1 synchronization based on S5P_PMU_SPARE2 register for Exynos3250 to cpuidle-exynos.c - add flush_cache_all() for CPU1/0 before powerdown/AFTR for Exynos3250 to exynos_wfi_finisher()/exynos_do_idle() Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com> Cc: Daniel Lezcano <daniel.lezcano@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <k.kozlowski@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene@kernel.org>

2015-05-14ARM: EXYNOS: Fix failed second suspend on Exynos4Krzysztof Kozlowski
On Exynos4412 boards (Trats2, Odroid U3) after enabling L2 cache in 56b60b8bce4a ("ARM: 8265/1: dts: exynos4: Add nodes for L2 cache controller") the second suspend to RAM failed. First suspend worked fine but the next one hang just after powering down of secondary CPUs (system consumed energy as it would be running but was not responsive). The issue was caused by enabling delayed reset assertion for CPU0 just after issuing power down of cores. This was introduced for Exynos4 in 13cfa6c4f7fa ("ARM: EXYNOS: Fix CPU idle clock down after CPU off"). The whole behavior is not well documented but after checking with vendor code this should be done like this (on Exynos4): 1. Enable delayed reset assertion when system is running (for all CPUs). 2. Disable delayed reset assertion before suspending the system. This can be done after powering off secondary CPUs. 3. Re-enable the delayed reset assertion when system is resumed. 2015-03-18ARM: exynos4/5: convert pmu wakeup to stacked domainsMarc Zyngier
Exynos has been (ab)using the gic_arch_extn to provide wakeup from suspend, and it makes a lot of sense to convert this code to use stacked domains instead. This patch does just this, updating the DT files to actually reflect what the HW provides. BIG FAT WARNING: because the DTs were so far lying by not exposing the fact that the PMU block is actually the first interrupt controller in the chain for RTC, kernels with this patch applied wont have any suspend-resume facility when booted with old DTs, and old kernels with updated DTs may not even boot. Also, I strongly suspect that there is more than two wake-up interrupts on these platforms, but I leave it to the maintainers to fix their mess. 2015-02-19ARM: make arrays containing machine compatible strings constUwe Kleine-König
The definition static const char *axxia_dt_match[] __initconst = { ... defines a changable array of constant strings. That is you must not do: *axxia_dt_match[0] = 'k'; but axxia_dt_match[0] = "different string"; is fine. So the annotation __initconst is wrong and yields a compiler error when other really const variables are added with __initconst. As the struct machine_desc member dt_compat is declared as const char *const *dt_compat; making the arrays const is the better alternative over changing all annotations to __initdata.
