2012-07-09mfd: Remove custom wm8350 cache implementationMark Brown
Since none of the users now reference the cache directly we can happily remove the custom cache code and rely on the regmap cache. For simplicity we don't bother with the register defaults tables but instead read the defaults from the device - regmap is capable of doing this, unlike our old cache infrastructure. This saves a lot of code and allows us to cache the device revision information too. 2012-07-09mfd: Add regmap cache support for wm8350Mark Brown
Use the most simple possible transformation on the existing code so keep the table sitting around, further patches in this series will delete the existing cache code - the main purpose of this patch is to ensure that we always have a cache for bisection. 2009-12-13mfd: Remove build time warning for WM835x register default tablesMark Brown
Systems using the WM835x need to choose which of the default register settings are required on the system. Currently there is a compile time warning as well as a runtime error intended to flag up to users that this is required but this also triggers for people building the driver in order to obtain build coverage. Remove the build warning, leaving only the runtime error, in order to reduce noise for people doing generic kernel work. 2009-06-17mfd: Mark WM8350 mask revision as readable to match siliconMark Brown
No impact unless someone has written additional kernel code. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2009-06-17mfd: Correct readability of WM8350 register 227Mark Brown
This includes the USB current limit status override which is used in the power management driver. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2009-02-17mfd: Mark WM835x USB_SLV_500MA bit as accessibleMark Brown
The code is out of sync with the silicon. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@openedhand.com>
2009-01-04mfd: Add WM8351 supportMark Brown
The WM8351 is a WM8350 variant. As well as register default changes the WM8351 has fewer voltage and current regulators than the WM8350. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@openedhand.com>
2009-01-04mfd: Add WM8352 supportMark Brown
The WM8352 is a variant of the WM8350. Aside from the register defaults there are no software visible differences to the WM8350. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@openedhand.com>
2009-01-04power_supply: Add battery health reporting for WM8350Mark Brown
Implement support for reporting battery health in the WM8350 battery interface. Since we are now able to report this via the classs remove the diagnostics from the interrupt handler. 2009-01-04mfd: Don't mark WM8350 security register as volatileMark Brown
There's no need to read this back from the chip each time. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@openedhand.com>
2008-10-13mfd: Core support for the WM8350 AudioPlus PMICMark Brown
The WM8350 is an integrated audio and power management subsystem intended for use as the primary PMIC in mobile multimedia applications. The WM8350 can be controlled via either I2C or SPI - the control interface is provided by a separate module in order to allow greatest flexibility in configuring the kernel. This driver was originally written by Liam Girdwood and has since been updated to current kernel APIs and split up for submission by me. All the heavy lifting here was done by Liam.
