2020-07-20soc: qcom: geni: Fix NULL pointer dereferenceAkash Asthana
pdev struct doesn't exits for the devices whose status are disabled from DT node, in such cases NULL is returned from 'of_find_device_by_node' Later when we try to get drvdata from pdev struct NULL pointer dereference is triggered. Add a NULL check for return values to fix the issue. We were hitting this issue when one of QUP is disabled. 2020-07-13tty: serial: qcom-geni-serial: Drop the icc bw votes in suspend for consoleRajendra Nayak
When using the geni-serial as console, its important to be able to hit the lowest possible power state in suspend, even with no_console_suspend. The only thing that prevents it today on platforms like the sc7180 is the interconnect BW votes, which we certainly don't need when the system is in suspend. So in the suspend handler mark them as ACTIVE_ONLY (0x3) and on resume switch them back to the ALWAYS tag (0x7) Signed-off-by: Rajendra Nayak <rnayak@codeaurora.org> Reviewed-by: Akash Asthana <akashast@codeaurora.org> Tested-by: Matthias Kaehlcke <mka@chromium.org> Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/1594704709-26072-1-git-send-email-rnayak@codeaurora.org Signed-off-by: Bjorn Andersson <bjorn.andersson@linaro.org>
2020-06-24soc: qcom-geni-se: Add interconnect support to fix earlycon crashAkash Asthana
QUP core clock is shared among all the SE drivers present on particular QUP wrapper, the system will reset(unclocked access) if earlycon used after QUP core clock is put to 0 from other SE drivers before real console comes up. As earlycon can't vote for it's QUP core need, to fix this add ICC support to common/QUP wrapper driver and put vote for QUP core from probe on behalf of earlycon and remove vote during earlycon exit call. 2019-09-06soc: qcom: geni: Provide parameter error checkingLee Jones
When booting with ACPI, the Geni Serial Engine is not set as the I2C/SPI parent and thus, the wrapper (parent device) is unassigned. This causes the kernel to crash with a null dereference error. When booting with ACPI as the active set of configuration tables, all; clocks, regulators, pin functions ect are expected to be at their ideal values/levels/rates, thus the associated frameworks are unavailable. 2018-11-14soc: qcom: Add irq clear handling during SE initAlok Chauhan
when the kernel inits a SE, its quite possible we have pending interrupts from bootloaders which did not handle/clear them. So do this in kernel at the SE init, to avoid some of it causing bad behavior, while at it also club all the register writes needed to clear the se irqs into a function to avoid repeating it over. 2018-09-23soc: qcom: geni: geni_se_clk_freq_match() should always accept multiplesDouglas Anderson
The geni_se_clk_freq_match() has some strange semantics. Specifically it is defined with two modes: 1. It can find a clock that's an exact multiple of the requested rate 2. It can find a non-exact match but it can't handle multiples then ...but callers should always be able to handle a clock that is a multiple of the requested clock so mode #2 doesn't really make sense. Let's change the semantics so that the non-exact match can also accept multiples and then change the code to handle that. The only caller of this code is the unlanded SPI driver [1] which currently passes "exact = True", thus it should be safe to change the semantics in this way. ...and, in fact, the SPI driver should likely be modified to pass "exact = False" (with the new semantics) since that will allow it to work with SPI devices that request a clock rate that doesn't exactly match a rate we can make. 2018-09-23soc: qcom: geni: Don't ignore clk_round_rate() errors in geni_se_clk_tbl_get()Douglas Anderson
The function clk_round_rate() is defined to return a "long", not an "unsigned long". That's because it might return a negative error code. Change the call in geni_se_clk_tbl_get() to check for errors. While we're at it, get rid of a useless init of "freq". NOTE: overall the idea that we should iterate over clk_round_rate() to try to reconstruct a table already present in the clock driver is questionable. Specifically: - This method relies on "clk_round_rate()" rounding up. - This method only works if the table is sorted and has no duplicates. ...this patch doesn't try to fix those problems, it just makes the error handling more correct. 2018-04-25soc: qcom: Add GENI based QUP Wrapper driverKarthikeyan Ramasubramanian
This driver manages the Generic Interface (GENI) firmware based Qualcomm Universal Peripheral (QUP) Wrapper. GENI based QUP is the next generation programmable module composed of multiple Serial Engines (SE) and supports a wide range of serial interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, I3C, etc. This driver also enables managing the serial interface independent aspects of Serial Engines.
