2023-02-01ipv4: prevent potential spectre v1 gadget in ip_metrics_convert()Eric Dumazet
[ Upstream commit 1d1d63b612801b3f0a39b7d4467cad0abd60e5c8 ] if (!type) continue; if (type > RTAX_MAX) return -EINVAL; ... metrics[type - 1] = val; @type being used as an array index, we need to prevent cpu speculation or risk leaking kernel memory content. Calls to nla_strlcpy are now replaced by calls to nla_strscpy which is the new name of this function. Signed-off-by: Francis Laniel <laniel_francis@privacyrequired.com> Reviewed-by: Kees Cook <keescook@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org>
2019-05-21treewide: Add SPDX license identifier for missed filesThomas Gleixner
Add SPDX license identifiers to all files which: - Have no license information of any form - Have EXPORT_.*_SYMBOL_GPL inside which was used in the initial scan/conversion to ignore the file These files fall under the project license, GPL v2 only. The resulting SPDX license identifier is: GPL-2.0-only Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2018-11-06net: Add extack argument to ip_fib_metrics_initDavid Ahern
Add extack argument to ip_fib_metrics_init and add messages for invalid metrics. Signed-off-by: David Ahern <dsahern@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2018-10-04net: common metrics init helper for FIB entriesDavid Ahern
Consolidate initialization of ipv4 and ipv6 metrics when fib entries are created into a single helper, ip_fib_metrics_init, that handles the call to ip_metrics_convert. If no metrics are defined for the fib entry, then the metrics is set to dst_default_metrics. Signed-off-by: David Ahern <dsahern@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2018-06-05net: metrics: add proper netlink validationEric Dumazet
Before using nla_get_u32(), better make sure the attribute is of the proper size. Code recently was changed, but bug has been there from beginning of git. 2018-04-17net: Move fib_convert_metrics to metrics fileDavid Ahern
Move logic of fib_convert_metrics into ip_metrics_convert. This allows the code that converts netlink attributes into metrics struct to be re-used in a later patch by IPv6. This is mostly a code move with the following changes to variable names: - fi->fib_net becomes net - fc_mx and fc_mx_len are passed as inputs pulled from fib_config - metrics array is passed as an input from fi->fib_metrics->metrics Signed-off-by: David Ahern <dsahern@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S.
