2017-12-08ASoC: atmel-classd: select correct Kconfig symbolAlexandre Belloni
SND_ATMEL_SOC_CLASSD selects SND_ATMEL_SOC_DMA but the driver itself handles its own DMA operations and doesn't need anything from atmel-pcm-dma.c or atmel_ssc_dai.c. Replace SND_ATMEL_SOC_DMA by SND_SOC_GENERIC_DMAENGINE_PCM which is the only one actually required. This may end up in a configuration leading to a link error: sound/soc/atmel/atmel_ssc_dai.o: In function `atmel_ssc_set_audio': atmel_ssc_dai.c:(.text+0x79c): undefined reference to `atmel_pcm_dma_platform_register' atmel_ssc_dai.c:(.text+0x79c): relocation truncated to fit: R_AARCH64_CALL26 against undefined symbol `atmel_pcm_dma_platform_register' sound/soc/atmel/atmel_ssc_dai.o: In function `atmel_ssc_put_audio': atmel_ssc_dai.c:(.text+0xf24): undefined reference to `atmel_pcm_dma_platform_unregister' atmel_ssc_dai.c:(.text+0xf24): relocation truncated to fit: R_AARCH64_CALL26 against undefined symbol `atmel_pcm_dma_platform_unregister' Tested on sama5d2 xplained with the following configuration where nothing selects SND_ATMEL_SOC_DMA: CONFIG_SND_ATMEL_SOC=y CONFIG_SND_ATMEL_SOC_CLASSD=y Reported-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Tested-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Fixes: e0a25b6d1862 ("ASoC: atmel-classd: add the Audio Class D Amplifier") Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>

2015-06-12ASoC: atmel: properly select dma driver stateAlexandre Belloni
It is currently possible to have CONFIG_SND_ATMEL_SOC_SSC=y with either CONFIG_SND_ATMEL_SOC_PDC=m or CONFIG_SND_ATMEL_SOC_DMA=m. This results in a driver that compiles but does not link with this kind of error: sound/built-in.o: In function `atmel_ssc_set_audio': (.text+0x87d90): undefined reference to `atmel_pcm_pdc_platform_register' sound/built-in.o: In function `atmel_ssc_put_audio': (.text+0x8879a): undefined reference to `atmel_pcm_pdc_platform_unregister' Introduce new config options SND_ATMEL_SOC_SSC_PDC and SND_ATMEL_SOC_SSC_DMA which should be used by the board drivers and the correct logic to properly select the SND_ATMEL_SOC_PDC and SND_ATMEL_SOC_DMA states. 2015-04-12ASoC: atmel: Improve machine driver compile test coverageLars-Peter Clausen

2015-04-12ASoC: atmel: Add dependency to SND_SOC_I2C_AND_SPI where necessaryLars-Peter Clausen
The SND_AT91_SOC_SAM9G20_WM8731 and SND_AT91_SOC_SAM9X5_WM8731 machine driver symbols select SND_SOC_WM8731 which depends on SND_SOC_I2C_AND_SPI. So the machine driver symbols need to depend on SND_SOC_I2C_AND_SPI as well, otherwise we might end up with a invalid configuration, which will sooner or later upset the randconfig auto-builders. 2013-12-12ARM: at91: remove AT91_PROGRAMMABLE_CLOCKS configuration optionNicolas Ferre
This AT91 specific Kconfig option removed the code that dealt with programmable clocks. Each AT91 SoC embeds programmable clocks and there is little gain to remove this code in case that such a clock is not used. If this option is not selected, it causes certain drivers to fail to build. We simply remove this option instead of adding code just to build a workaround. 2012-01-10ASoC: Fix recursive dependency due to select ATMEL_SSC in SND_ATMEL_SOC_SSCAxel Lin
commit 739be96 "ASoC: Fix build dependency for SND_ATMEL_SOC_SSC" introduces below build warnings: drivers/misc/Kconfig:212:error: recursive dependency detected! drivers/misc/Kconfig:212: symbol ATMEL_SSC is selected by SND_ATMEL_SOC_SSC sound/soc/atmel/Kconfig:9: symbol SND_ATMEL_SOC_SSC is selected by SND_AT91_SOC_SAM9G20_WM8731 sound/soc/atmel/Kconfig:18: symbol SND_AT91_SOC_SAM9G20_WM8731 depends on ATMEL_SSC SND_ATMEL_SOC_SSC needs ATMEL_SSC to pass compilation.
