2023-10-04configs: j721e: Remove HBMC_AM654 configNeha Malcom Francis
Kernel commit d93036b47f35 ("arm64: dts: ti: k3-j721e-mcu_wakeup: Add HyperBus node") was merged to kernel without its dependent patch [1]. Similar fix is needed in U-Boot, and hbmc currently breaks boot. Till this gets fixed in U-Boot, disable the config by default so that the hbmc probe that happens in board/ti/j721e/evm.c will not take place and lead to boot failure. 2023-05-30Kconfig: j721e: Change K3_MCU_SCRATCHPAD_BASE to non firewalled regionManorit Chawdhry
In non-combined boot flow for K3, all the firewalls are locked by default until sysfw comes up. Rom configures some of the firewall for its usage along with the SRAM for R5 but the PSRAM region is still locked. The K3 MCU Scratchpad for j721e was set to a PSRAM region triggering the firewall exception before sysfw came up. The exception started happening after adding multi dtb support that accesses the scratchpad for reading EEPROM contents. The commit changes R5 MCU scratchpad for j721e to an SRAM region. 2023-05-30configs: j721e: Merge the HS and non-HS defconfigsManorit Chawdhry
K3 devices have runtime type board detection. Make the default defconfig include the secure configuration. Then remove the HS specific config. Non-HS devices will continue to boot due to runtime device type detection. If TI_SECURE_DEV_PKG is not set the build will emit warnings, for non-HS devices these can be ignored. - Make all users of CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR reference SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR - Introduce HAS_CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to allow for setting the stack pointer directly, otherwise we use the common calculation. - On some platforms that were using the standard calculation but did not set CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE / CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR, set them. - On a small number of platforms that were not subtracting GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE do so now via the standard calculation. - CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET is now widely unused, so remove it from most board config header files. This is a little tricky since SoCFPGA has code to determine this as runtime. Introduce a guard variable for platforms to select if they have a static value to use. 2021-09-10configs: j72*_evm: Define the buffer sizes for dfuAswath Govindraju
On J721e R5 SPL, dfu buffer for loading sysfw.itb image gets allocated before DRAM gets initialized. So, the buffer gets allocated in MCU L3 RAM. The current buffer size to be allocated is 256KB and the available total heap memory is 0x70000 (448KB). This leads to NOMEM errors during allocation. In other cases when constraints such as above are not present fix the size of buffers to the sector size in OSPI for proper functioning. Also, if CONFIG_SYS_DFU_DATA_BUF_SIZE is defined and CONFIG_SYS_DFU_MAX_FILE_SIZE is not defined then the max file size for dfu transfer is defined as CONFIG_SYS_DFU_DATA_BUF_SIZE. Fix these by setting appropriate buffer sizes in their respective defconfig files and defining the max file size as 8 MB which is the default dfu buffer size. 2021-07-27configs: j721e_evm_r5: Disable K3 R5F remoteprocSuman Anna
The J721E R5 SPL will no longer support booting of the Main R5FSS Core0 after the R5 SPL re-architecture for System Firmware split. The MCU R5F branch-only boot does not use the K3 R5F remoteproc driver, and relies only on the filesystem (FS) support for now. The K3 R5F remoteproc driver is therefore no longer needed in R5 SPL, so drop it from the J721E R5 defconfig.
