Now we have - board specific -u-boot.dtsi files for board specific u-boot dts changes. - soc specific rk3399-u-boot.dtsi for soc specific u-boot dts changes. So, include the rk3399-u-boot-dtsi on respective board -u-boot.dtsi and drop the properties which are globally available in rk3399-u-boot.dtsi Right now rk3399-u-boot.dtsi has sdmmc, spi1 u-boot,dm-pre-reloc property and more properties and nodes can be move further based on the requirements. This would fix, the -u-boot.dtsi inclusion for evb, firefly, puma boards that was accidentally merged on below commit. u-boot,dm-pre-reloc is required for SDMMC booted rk3399 boards and which is U-Boot specific devicetrees binding. Move it on global rk3399-u-boot.dtsi file and rest of the U-Boot bindings will move it future based on the requirement. This would help to sync the devicetrees from Linux whenever required instead of adding specific nodes. 2019-04-12dts: switch spi-flash to jedec, spi-nor compatibleNeil Armstrong
There is no reason not to use the Linux "jedec,spi-nor" binding in U-Boot dts files. This compatible has been added in sf_probe, let use it. This patch switches to jedec,spi-nor when spi-flash is used in the DTS and DTSI files, and removed spi-flash when jedec,spi-nor is already present. The x86 dts are switched in a separate commit since it depends on a change in fdtdec. This patch eliminates the non-standard entries "rockchip,pwm_id" and "rockchip,pwm_voltage". They are neither documented nor read out by any driver. Additionally it introduces the entry regulator-init-microvolt and sets it to 900 mV, which is the default target value for VDD_LOG. 2018-12-15rockchip: rk3399-puma: Remove obsolete DTS node 'vcc5v0_host'.Christoph Muellner
vcc5v0_host and usbhub_enable share gpio4 RK_PA3, which is a problem during probing (the second probe will trigger a -EBUSY, when trying to get the gpio handle). An analysis of the situation shows, that both regulators are actually describing the same supply. This patch removes the (currenlty not successful probing) regulator vcc5v0_host from the DTS and adds the pinctrl-* setting to usbhub_enable. 2018-11-30rockchip: rk3399-puma: reduce sd card max-frequency to 40MHzPhilipp Tomsich
Some SanDisk Ultra cards trigger intermittent errors on detection resulting in an -EOPNOTSUPP, when running at 50MHz. Waveform analysis suggest that the level shifters that are used on the RK3399-Q7 module (for voltage translation between the on-module voltages and the 3.3V required on the card-edge) don't handle clock rates at or above 48MHz properly. This change reduces the maximum frequency on the external SD-interface to 40MHz (for a safety margin of 20%). 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our multiple license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have multiple licenses (in these cases, dual license) declared in the SPDX-License-Identifier tag. In this case we change from listing "LICENSE-A LICENSE-B" or "LICENSE-A or LICENSE-B" or "(LICENSE-A OR LICENSE-B)" to "LICENSE-A OR LICENSE-B" as per the Linux Kernel style document. 2017-11-30rockchip: dts: rk3399-puma: add a 'tsd, usb-port-power' stringlist for USB1Philipp Tomsich
USB1 is connected to the on-module USB 3.0 hub and power to the hub (actually it's a reset signal, modeled as a fixed regulator, that will be released) should be enabled only during the first probing of the device to avoid the hub from entering its low-power mode (where it tries to attach on a fixed interval, but we always miss the timeslot when U-Boot has the controller listening). This adds a 'tsd,usb-port-power' stringlist to enable the infrastructure in the board-specific usb_hub_reset_devices to find and control the fixed regulator associated with control of the USB hub. The fixed regulator for overriding BIOS_DISABLE had been modelling backwards (i.e. the GPIO polarity and the enable-active-low/high property had both been inverted), causing the 'regulator' command to always print/expect 'disabled'/'enabled' backwards. The (Qseven) BIOS_DISABLE signal on the RK3399-Q7 (Puma) keeps the eMMC and SPI in reset initially and we need to write a GPIO to turn them on before continuing the boot-up. This adds the DTS entries for the additional regulator and makes pinctrl and gpio3 available during SPL. It also adds a hook to the spl_board_init() to ensure that the regulator gets probed and enabled. When creating a EFI/GUID partition map for the RK3399-Q7 through U-Boot, the partition entries should be places at a 1MB offset from the start of the device to give us space for the environment (at 16KB on SD/MMC devices), the SPL stage (at 32KB on SD/MMC devices) and the image payload (at 256KB on SD/MMC devices). This change sets this up through the u-boot,efi-partition-entries-offset /config property in the RK3399-Q7 DTSI. before SPL As our SPL stage can grow quite large (80KB+ are not unusual) on the RK3399-Q7, the default setting for the environment location (in include/configs/rockchip-common.h) can overlap our SPL. This change finally makes use of the 'u-boot,mmc-env-offset' DTS property to override the environment location and put it at 16KB into the device, which is right before the SPL (located at 32KB).
