2020-01-27pmic: allow dump command for non contiguous register mapsMartin Fuzzey
Some PMICs (such as the DA9063) have non-contiguous register maps. Attempting to read the non implemented registers returns an error rather than a dummy value which causes 'pmic dump' to terminate prematurely. Fix this by allowing the PMIC driver to return -ENODATA for such registers, which will then be displayed as '--' by pmic dump. Use a single error code rather than any error code so that we can distinguish between a hardware failure reading the PMIC and a non implemented register known to the driver. 2018-05-18pmic: Rewrite the pmic command to not only work with single byte transmissionLukasz Majewski
Up till now it was only possible to use 'pmic' command with a single byte transmission. The pmic_read|write functions has been replaced with ones, which don't need the transmission length as a parameter. Due to that it is possible now to read data from PMICs transmitting more data than 1 byte at once (e.g. mc34708) Signed-off-by: Lukasz Majewski <lukma@denx.de> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2016-01-25Remove the cmd_ prefix from command filesSimon Glass
Now that they are in their own directory, we can remove this prefix. This makes it easier to find a file since the prefix does not get in the way.
