2014-10-23 | dm: am335x: Remove serial options from CONFIG_SYS_EXTRA_OPTIONS | Simon Glass
With these options in place it is not possible to change the serial port using 'make menuconfig' or similar. It seems to result in duplicate defines. For example: In file included from include/linux/kconfig.h:4:0, from <command-line>:0: include/generated/autoconf.h:20:0: note: this is the location of the previous definition #define CONFIG_CONS_INDEX 2 ^ The default option seems to be 1 anyway, in board/ti/am335x/Kconfig. Remove the options so that we can adjust the serial port if required. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Acked-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
2014-07-30 | kconfig: add board Kconfig and defconfig files | Masahiro Yamada
This commit adds: - arch/${ARCH}/Kconfig provide a menu to select target boards - board/${VENDOR}/${BOARD}/Kconfig or board/${BOARD}/Kconfig set CONFIG macros to the appropriate values for each board - configs/${TARGET_BOARD}_defconfig default setting of each board (This commit was automatically generated by a conversion script based on boards.cfg) In Linux Kernel, defconfig files are located under arch/${ARCH}/configs/ directory. It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the command line for cross compile. But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line. Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done. That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a single directory ./configs/.
