2023-08-31event: Use an event to replace last_stage_init()Simon Glass
Add a new event which handles this function. Convert existing use of the function to use the new event instead. Make sure that EVENT is enabled by affected boards, by selecting it from the LAST_STAGE_INIT option. For x86, enable it by default since all boards need it. 2023-07-14disable NFS support by defaultPeter Robinson
While NFS is widely used in data centres, and private networks it's quite a nuanced usecase for device firmware. A lot of devices already disable it. Various network protocols should really be opt in, not opt out, because they add extra size and are potential attack vectors from a security PoV. In the NFS case it doesn't really make sense for a lot of devices like tables, SBCs etc. It's also something we don't really want for SystemReady-IR due to security concerns. This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_GATEWAYIP CONFIG_HOSTNAME CONFIG_IPADDR CONFIG_NETMASK CONFIG_ROOTPATH CONFIG_SERVERIP CONFIG_UBOOTPATH To do this, we introduce a CONFIG_USE_ form of each of the above and change include/env_default.h to test for that to be set before setting a value. 2021-08-03x86: crownbay: Use external graphics card by defaultBin Meng
The board routes the Integrated Graphics Device (IGD) to an LVDS panel, which is less popular than a PCIe based graphics card. Disable the IGD so that it does not show up in the PCI configuration space as a VGA display controller, so we can use an external PCIe graphics card with whatever cable we have. 2021-06-08net: convert TFTP_TSIZE to proper Kconfig optionTero Kristo
TFTP transfer size can be used to re-size the TFTP progress bar on single line based on the server reported file size. The support for this has been around from 2019, but it was never converted to proper Kconfig. While adding this new Kconfig, enable it by default for OMAP2+ and K3 devices also. 2019-11-20env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini
- In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. For now, just update the CONFIG tests. Now that all x86 boards have been converted to use DM, we can imply these uclass drivers (DM_ETH, DM_RTC, DM_USB, DM_VIDEO) from the top level. Previously DM_GPIO, DM_KEYBOARD, DM_SERIAL, DM_SPI, DM_SPI_FLASH are selected. Change to use 'imply' to allow them to be removed. Note with this change, chromebook_link64 build fails: common/built-in.o:(.data.env_htab+0xc): undefined reference to 'env_flags_validate' lib/built-in.o: In function `hsearch_r': lib/hashtable.c:380: undefined reference to 'env_callback_init' lib/hashtable.c:382: undefined reference to 'env_flags_init' make[1]: *** [spl/u-boot-spl] Error 1 CONFIG_SPL_ENV_SUPPORT is required for chromebook_link64 to build again. This is just a workaround as it is not needed at all. See commit bda40d5 "x86: qemu: Add a config for 64-bit U-Boot" for the same issue seen on QEMU 64-bit target.
