2024-04-04arm: dts: kirkwood: Enable upstream DT on Kirkwood boardsTony Dinh
Enable OF_UPSTREAM to use upstream DT and add marvell/ prefix to the DEFAULT_DEVICE_TREE for Kirkwood boards. And so we can directly build DTBs from dts/upstream/src/arm/marvell, and including *-u-boot.dtsi files from arch/arm/dts/ directory. Background: The following 2 commands and filters were used in the analysis to determine which upstream DTS and DTSI files can be used as they are, or need to have modified/created *-u-boot.dtsi for u-boot specific implementation, and which board should be opt-out from OF_UPSTREAM. The Zyxel NSA325 board has a USB 3.0 controller attached to the PCIe bus. And the Zyxel NSA310S has an extensive overhaul in bindings and styles in upstream DTS version. 2023-01-26arm: kirkwood: Use Kirkwood common early malloc area for various Kirkwood boardsTony Dinh
For Kirkwood boards, it is necessary to have early malloc in DRAM area when Driver Model for Serial is enabled. This patch removes individual board settings for early malloc in various Kirkwood boards, and uses the Kirkwood commonly defined settings in arch/arm/mach-kirkwood/Kconfig. 2022-06-06Migrate CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to Kconfig using system-constants.hTom Rini
- Make all users of CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR reference SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR - Introduce HAS_CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to allow for setting the stack pointer directly, otherwise we use the common calculation. - On some platforms that were using the standard calculation but did not set CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE / CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR, set them. - On a small number of platforms that were not subtracting GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE do so now via the standard calculation. - CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET is now widely unused, so remove it from most board config header files. 2022-02-10arm: kirkwood: Dreamplug : Use Marvell uclass mvgbe and PHY driver for EthernetTony Dinh
The Globalscale Technologies Dreamplug board has the network chip Marvell 88E1116R. Use uclass mvgbe and the compatible driver M88E1310 driver to bring up Ethernet. - Currently, CONFIG_RESET_PHY_R symbol is used in arch/arm/mach-kirkwood/include/mach/config.h for all Kirkwood boards with mv8831116 PHY, with each board defines the function reset_phy(). Undefine it for this board. - Add board_eth_init() to use uclass mvgbe to bring up both network port 0 and 1. And remove ad-hoc code. - Enable CONFIG_PHY_MARVELL to properly configure the network. - Add myself as maintainer (this board seems to be orphaned, could not contact Jason Cooper using current email). - Miscellaneous changes: Move constants to .c file and remove header file board/Marvell/dreamplug/dreamplug.h, cleanup comments. 2019-11-20env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini
- In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF had been partially converted to Kconfig parameters; only for the ARC architecture. This patch turns these two parameters into Kconfig items everywhere else they are found. All of the include/configs/* and defconfig changes in this patch are for arm machines only. The Kconfig changes for arc, nds32, riscv, and xtensa have been included since these symbols are found in code under arch/{arc,nds32,riscv,xtensa}, however, no currently-defined include/configs/* or defconfigs for these architectures exist which include these symbols. These results have been confirmed with tools/moveconfig.py. We have the following cases: - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was defined, migrate normally - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS_MAX was defined and then used for CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS after a check, just migrate it over now. - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was very oddly defined on p2771-0000-* (to 1024 + 2), set this to 8.
