2022-02-10nvme: Split out PCI supportMark Kettenis
Apple SoCs have an integrated NVMe controller that isn't connected over a PCIe bus. In preparation for adding support for this NVMe controller, split out the PCI support into its own file. This file is selected through a new CONFIG_NVME_PCI Kconfig option, so do a wholesale replacement of CONFIG_NVME with CONFIG_NVME_PCI. 2021-06-08net: convert TFTP_TSIZE to proper Kconfig optionTero Kristo
TFTP transfer size can be used to re-size the TFTP progress bar on single line based on the server reported file size. The support for this has been around from 2019, but it was never converted to proper Kconfig. While adding this new Kconfig, enable it by default for OMAP2+ and K3 devices also. With the upcoming increase of the malloc area in U-Boot ("pci: pci-uclass: Dynamically allocate the PCI regions"), the CI QEMU x86 test fails: U-Boot 2020.10-rc2-g0a668f6d38 (Aug 25 2020 - 06:12:51 +0000) alloc space exhausted Error binding driver 'cpu_qemu': -12 Some drivers failed to bind alloc space exhausted initcall sequence fff6a760 failed at call fff13b3d (err=-19) This patch now increases CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_F_LEN to 0x1000, which is already used on qemu-x86_64_defconfig. 2020-07-28x86: Drop CONFIG_BUILD_ROM and repurpose BUILD_ROMSimon Glass
This Kconfig is not needed anymore since U-Boot will build the ROM if the required binary blobs exist. The BUILD_ROM environment variable used to request that the ROM be built. Now this always happens if the required binary blobs are available. Update it to mean that U-Boot should fail if the ROM cannot be built. This behaviour should be compatible with how it used to work. 2019-11-20env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini
- In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. In order to facilitate migration of other symbols to Kconfig we need to introduce a new symbol for this particular use case. Converts qemu x86 machines to boot using distro_config. The intent is to allow u-boot in qemu to be maximally compatible with many boot methods without having to change the config. Previously, u-boot would only boot in a very limited set of circumstances where there was a /boot/vmlinuz on scsi 0:3 with no ramdisk. We have the following cases: - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was defined, migrate normally - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS_MAX was defined and then used for CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS after a check, just migrate it over now. - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was very oddly defined on p2771-0000-* (to 1024 + 2), set this to 8. 2018-06-24x86: qemu: Change default vesa mode to 1024x768x32Bin Meng
The default vesa mode was changed since commit 55b4e1b7d999 ("x86: Change default FRAMEBUFFER_VESA_MODE of some boards") for better VxWorks compatibility but with the changes QEMU video console no longer works. This is because QEMU's vgabios implements the VESA mode 8:8:8 as 24bpp without an alpha channel, which U-Boot's video console driver currently does not support yet. We need change to real 32bpp in order to make it work again. QEMU vgabios implements the custom 32bpp VESA mode starting from 0x140 (320x200x32) to 0x147 (1600x1200x32). Set it to 0x144 (1024x768x32). This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SPI This partly involves updating code that assumes that CONFIG_SPI implies things that are specific to the MPC8xx SPI driver. For now, just update the CONFIG tests. This also involves reworking the default for CONFIG_SYS_DEF_EEPROM_ADDR so that we don't set it when we cannot make a reasonable default, as it does not cause any compile failures. On the NIOS2 and Xtensa architectures, we do not have CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE set. This is a strict migration of the current values into the defconfig and removing them from the headers. Up to now we depended on an exported variable to build u-boot.rom. We should be able to specify it in the configuration file, too. With this patch this becomes possible using the new Kconfig option CONFIG_BUILD_ROM. This option depends on CONFIG_X86 and is selected in qemu-x86_defconfig and qemu-x86_64_defconfig. The EFI selftest has been broken by a patch on efi-next. We should enable CONFIG_CMD_BOOTEFI_SELFTEST on qemu-x86_defconfig and qemu-x86_64_defconfig by default to catch this type of problem in the Travis CI tests. These systems typically have abundant memory so that enabling this option should not pose a problem. Now that all x86 boards have been converted to use DM, we can imply these uclass drivers (DM_ETH, DM_RTC, DM_USB, DM_VIDEO) from the top level. Previously DM_GPIO, DM_KEYBOARD, DM_SERIAL, DM_SPI, DM_SPI_FLASH are selected. Change to use 'imply' to allow them to be removed. Note with this change, chromebook_link64 build fails: common/built-in.o:(.data.env_htab+0xc): undefined reference to 'env_flags_validate' lib/built-in.o: In function `hsearch_r': lib/hashtable.c:380: undefined reference to 'env_callback_init' lib/hashtable.c:382: undefined reference to 'env_flags_init' make[1]: *** [spl/u-boot-spl] Error 1 CONFIG_SPL_ENV_SUPPORT is required for chromebook_link64 to build again. This is just a workaround as it is not needed at all. See commit bda40d5 "x86: qemu: Add a config for 64-bit U-Boot" for the same issue seen on QEMU 64-bit target.
