2022-10-31Rename CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE to CONFIG_TEXT_BASESimon Glass
The current name is inconsistent with SPL which uses CONFIG_SPL_TEXT_BASE and this makes it imposible to use CONFIG_VAL(). Rename it to resolve this problem. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2022-06-06Migrate CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to Kconfig using system-constants.hTom Rini
- Make all users of CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR reference SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR - Introduce HAS_CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to allow for setting the stack pointer directly, otherwise we use the common calculation. - On some platforms that were using the standard calculation but did not set CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE / CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR, set them. - On a small number of platforms that were not subtracting GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE do so now via the standard calculation. - CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET is now widely unused, so remove it from most board config header files. 2020-08-04arm: move CONFIG_PREBOOT="usb start" to KConfigJonas Smedegaard
This commit moves CONFIG_PREBOOT="usb start" to common/KConfig for all boards also declaring USB_KEYBOARD. Besides simplifying defconfig files, this also enables support for board-specific CONFIG_PREBOOT for sunxi boards: commit 37304aaf60bf ("Convert CONFIG_USE_PREBOOT and CONFIG_PREBOOT to Kconfig") intended to support CONFIG_PREBOOT, but include/configs/sunxi-common.h hardcodes preboot as part of internally defined CONSOLE_STDIN_SETTINGS, silently ignoring any board-specific CONFIG_PREBOOT. 2019-12-06video: make BPP and ANSI configs optionalAnatolij Gustschin
Many boards do not use all selected framebuffer depth configurations, for such boards there is some unused code in video and console uclass routines. Make depth specific code optional to avoid dead code and slightly reduce binary size. Also make ANSI code optional for the same reason. When i.e. using only VIDEO_BPP16 the code size shrinks (below values when using gcc-7.3.0): $ ./tools/buildman/buildman -b video-wip -sS wandboard ... 01: Merge git://git.denx.de/u-boot-sh 02: video: add guards around 16bpp/32bbp code 03: video: make BPP and ANSI configs optional arm: (for 1/1 boards) all -776.0 bss -8.0 text -768.0 Signed-off-by: Anatolij Gustschin <agust@denx.de> Tested-by: Eugen Hristev <eugen.hristev@microchip.com> Tested-by: Patrice Chotard <patrice.chotard@st.com> Tested-by: Steffen Dirkwinkel <s.dirkwinkel@beckhoff.com>

2019-11-20env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini
- In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2018-12-02ARM: rpi_*_defconfig: Add support to find UUID for filesystemOtavio Salvador

2018-02-05cmd: Make CONFIG_CMD_FPGA depend on CONFIG_FPGATuomas Tynkkynen
cmd/Makefile has: ifdef CONFIG_FPGA obj-$(CONFIG_CMD_FPGA) += fpga.o endif which means that if CONFIG_FPGA is not set, CONFIG_CMD_FPGA silently does nothing. Let's remove that Makefile conditional and instead express this equivalent dependency in Kconfig, so a lot of redundant # CONFIG_CMD_FPGA is not set can be removed from board defconfigs that don't actually have an FPGA. 2018-01-28bcm283x: Add pinctrl driverAlexander Graf
The bcm283x family of SoCs have a GPIO controller that also acts as pinctrl controller. This patch introduces a new pinctrl driver that can actually properly mux devices into their device tree defined pin states and is now the primary owner of the gpio device. The previous GPIO driver gets moved into a subdevice of the pinctrl driver, bound to the same OF node. That way whenever a device asks for pinctrl support, it gets it automatically from the pinctrl driver and GPIO support is still available in the normal command line phase. 2017-10-10cmd: Toggle the default value of CONFIG_CMD_IMLSTuomas Tynkkynen
Having this as a 'default y' is rather annoying because it doesn't actually compile unless other options are defined in the board header: ../cmd/bootm.c: In function 'do_imls_nor': ../cmd/bootm.c:330:7: error: 'CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_BANKS' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_SECT'? i < CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_BANKS; ++i, ++info) { Make it 'default n' so people who develop new boards that start from a blank defconfig have one less compilation failure to debug.
