2021-11-23net: introduce a helper to determine whether to use in-band autonegVladimir Oltean
Certain serial SERDES protocols like 1000base-x, 2500base-x, SGMII, USXGMII can operate either in a mode where the PHY (be it on-board or inside an SFP module) passes the link parameters (speed, duplex, pause) to the MAC through in-band through control words standardized by IEEE 802.3 clause 37, or in a mode where the MAC must configure (force) its link parameters based on information obtained out-of-band (MDIO reads, guesswork etc). In Linux, the OF node property named "managed" is parsed by the phylink framework, and the convention is that if a driver uses phylink, then the presence of this property means that in-band autoneg should be enabled, otherwise it shouldn't. To be compatible with the OF node bindings of drivers that use phylink in Linux, introduce parsing support for this property in U-Boot too. 2021-04-15of: extra: Introduce ofnode_phy_is_fixed_link() APIBin Meng
Introduce a helper API ofnode_phy_is_fixed_link() to detect whether the ethernet controller connects to a fixed-link pseudo-PHY device. Note there are two ways to describe a fixed PHY attached to an Ethernet device: - the new DT binding, where 'fixed-link' is a sub-node of the Ethernet device - the old DT binding, where 'fixed-link' is a property with 5 cells encoding various information about the fixed PHY Signed-off-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Vladimir Oltean <vladimir.oltean@nxp.com> Reviewed-by: Priyanka Jain <priyanka.jain@nxp.com>
2021-01-30dm: core: Update ofnode_read_fmap_entry() to read hashesSimon Glass
At present this function uses the old format for reading hashes. Add support for the current format. Add a test while we are here. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-05-18common: Drop log.h from common headerSimon Glass
Move this header out of the common header. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-10-09dm: core: Update ofnode to read binman-style flash entrySimon Glass
At present ofnode_read_fmap_entry() reads a flash map entry in a format which is not supported by binman. To allow use to use binman-format descriptions, update this function. Also add a simple test. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

Add a way to decode a memory region, including the memory type (sram or sdram) and its start address and size. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-03-05libfdt: move headers to <linux/libfdt.h> and <linux/libfdt_env.h>Masahiro Yamada
Thomas reported U-Boot failed to build host tools if libfdt-devel package is installed because tools include libfdt headers from /usr/include/ instead of using internal ones. This commit moves the header code: include/libfdt.h -> include/linux/libfdt.h include/libfdt_env.h -> include/linux/libfdt_env.h and replaces include directives: #include <libfdt.h> -> #include <linux/libfdt.h> #include <libfdt_env.h> -> #include <linux/libfdt_env.h> Reported-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@bootlin.com> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>
2017-06-01dm: core: Add a place to put extra device-tree reading functionsSimon Glass
Some functions deal with structured data rather than simple data types. It makes sense to have these in their own file. For now this just has a function to read a flashmap entry. Move the data types also. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
