2021-06-16ls1012a: net: pfe: remove pfe stop from bootcmdMian Yousaf Kaukab
When using bootefi to boot a EFI binary, u-boot is supposed to provide networking service for EFI application. Currently, 'pfe stop' command is called from bootcmd before running bootefi. As a result network stops working for EFI applications and console is flooded with "Rx pkt not on expected port" messages. Implement board_quiesce_devices() for ls1012a boards and call pfe_command_stop() from it instead of calling 'pfe stop' from *_bootcmd and bootcmd. 2021-04-15ls1012a: use default scan_dev_for_bootMian Yousaf Kaukab
scan_dev_for_efi is supposed to be called from scan_dev_for_boot. However, this call is missing for ls1012a boards. As a result EFI boot doesn’t work. Fix this issue by removing custom definition of scan_dev_for_boot and use the default definition instead. The linux kernel Image is growing quite quickly, if kernel Image size grow beyond 36 MB then kernel Image at load address 0x81000000 overlaps with the reserved memory region at 0x83400000. Adjust kernel load address(kernel_addr_r) from 0x81000000 to 0x96000000 to avoid kernel Image overlapping with reserved memory region. 2019-11-20env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini
- In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-05-22armv8: Secure Boot: Modify boot_a_script definitionVinitha V Pillai
esbc_validate command will not be executed if “load” command for its header fails and will further execute the source command for bootscript, without its validation and boot process continues. To halt the boot process in case secure boot header is not loaded successfully, esbc_validate command is invoked separately after “load” command. The secure boot validation of the bootscript header will fail (if header is not loaded) and halts the boot process, which prevent source command from execution. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. 2017-01-31mmc: move CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC to KconfigMasahiro Yamada
Now, CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC seems equivalent to CONFIG_MMC. Let's create an entry for "config GENERIC_MMC" with "default MMC", then convert all macro defines in headers to Kconfig. Almost all of the defines will go away. I see only two exceptions: configs/blanche_defconfig configs/sandbox_noblk_defconfig They define CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC, but not CONFIG_MMC. Something might be wrong with these two boards, so should be checked later. Anyway, this is the output of the moveconfig tool. 2016-12-29mmc: complete unfinished move of CONFIG_MMCMasahiro Yamada
Commit 7a777f6d6f35 ("mmc: Add generic Kconfig option") created a Kconfig entry for this option without any actual moves, then commit 44c798799f66 ("sunxi: Use Kconfig CONFIG_MMC") moved instances only for SUNXI. We generally do not like such partial moves. This kind of work is automated by tools/moveconfig.py, so it is pretty easy to complete this move. I am adding "default ARM || PPC || SANDBOX" (suggested by Tom). This shortens the configs and will ease new board porting.
