2024-01-07efi: Use the correct GUID for the SMBIOS tableSimon Glass
EFI does not use the 'anchor string' to determine the SMBIOS table version, instead preferring to have two separate GUIDs. Use the correct one, depending on the table version. 2023-11-18efi_loader: add missing const classifier for event serviceMasahisa Kojima
const classifier is missing in EventGroup parameter of CreateEventEx(). Fix it to remove the compiler warning. NotifyContext parameter of CreateEventEx() is also defined with const in UEFI specification, but NotifyContext parameter of CreateEvent() is defined without const. Since current implementation calls the common efi_create_event() function from both CreateEventEx() and CreateEvent() services, NotifyContext parameter leaves as is. 2023-07-20efi_loader: support all uclasses in device pathHeinrich Schuchardt
On devices with multiple USB mass storage devices errors like Path /../USB(0x0,0x0)/USB(0x1,0x0)/Ctrl(0x0) already installed. are seen. This is due to creating non-unique device paths. To uniquely identify devices we must provide path nodes for all devices on the path from the root device. Add support for generating device path nodes for all uclasses. 2023-05-13efi_loader: Fix warnings for unaligned accessesIlias Apalodimas
Tom reports that when building with clang we see this warning: field guid within 'struct efi_hii_keyboard_layout' is less aligned than 'efi_guid_t' and is usually due to 'struct efi_hii_keyboard_layout' being packed, which can lead to unaligned accesses [-Wunaligned-access] This happens because 'struct efi_hii_keyboard_layout' is defined as packed and thus has 1-byte alignment but efi_guid_t is a type that requires greater alignment than that. However the EFI spec describes the EFI_GUID as "128-bit buffer containing a unique identifier value. Unless otherwise specified" So convert the efi_guid_t -> u8 b[16] here and skip the alignment requirements. Since the struct is packed to begin with, it makes no difference on the final memory layout. When a structure contains a flexible array member, it is not supposed to be included in arrays or other structs. Quoting the C spec [0] "Such a structure (and any union containing, possibly recursively, a member that is such a structure) shall not be a member of a structure or an element of an array." 2022-05-07efi_loader: add sha384/512 on certificate revocationIlias Apalodimas
Currently we don't support sha384/512 for the X.509 certificate in dbx. Moreover if we come across such a hash we skip the check and approve the image, although the image might needs to be rejected. Rework the code a bit and fix it by adding an array of structs with the supported GUIDs, len and literal used in the U-Boot crypto APIs instead of hardcoding the GUID types. It's worth noting here that efi_hash_regions() can now be reused from efi_signature_lookup_digest() and add sha348/512 support there as well Signed-off-by: Ilias Apalodimas <ilias.apalodimas@linaro.org>

2022-01-29efi_loader: correctly handle mixed hashes and signatures in dbIlias Apalodimas
A mix of signatures and hashes in db doesn't always work as intended. Currently if the digest algorithm is not explicitly set to sha256 we stop walking the security database and reject the image. That's problematic in case we find and try to check a signature before inspecting the sha256 hash. If the image is unsigned we will reject it even if the digest matches. Since we no longer reject the image on unknown algorithms add an explicit check and reject the image if any other hash algorithm apart from sha256 is detected on dbx. The ESRT is initialised during efi_init_objlist after efi_initialize_system_table(). The ESRT is recreated from scratch at the following events: - successful UpdateCapsule; - FMP instance install. The code ensures that every ESRT entry has a unique fw_class value. Limitations: - The ESRT is not updated if an FMP instance is uninstalled; - the fields image_type and flags are in the current implementation left undefined. 2020-12-03efi_loader: capsule: support firmware updateAKASHI Takahiro
A capsule tagged with the guid, EFI_FIRMWARE_MANAGEMENT_CAPSULE_ID_GUID, is handled as a firmware update object. In this commit, however, loading drivers is not supported. The result of applying a capsule is set to be stored in "CapsuleXXXX" variable, but its implementation is deferred to a fmp driver.
