2021-03-22dtoc: Move test files into a test/ directorySimon Glass
It is confusing to have the test files in the same places as the implementation. Move them into a separate directory. Add a helper function for test_dtoc, to avoid repeating the same path. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2021-01-05sandbox: Drop unnecessary test nodeSimon Glass
The spl-test4 node deliberately has an invalid compatible string. This causes a warning from dtoc and the check it does is not really necessary. Drop it, to avoid the warning and associated confusion. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-10-29dtoc: Fix widening of int to bytesSimon Glass
At present an integer is converted to bytes incorrectly. The whole 32-bit integer is inserted as the first element of the byte array, and the other three bytes are skipped. This was not noticed because the unit test did not check it, and the functional test was checking for wrong values. Update the code to handle this as a special case. Add one more test to cover all code paths. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-07-17dtoc: Support ACPI paths in of-platdataSimon Glass
The start of an ACPI path typically has backslashes in it. These are not preserved during the translation from device tree to C code, since dtc (correctly) uses the first backslash as an escape character, and dtoc therefore leaves it out of the C string. Fix this with special-case handling. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-07-09dtoc: Update fdt tests to increase code coverageSimon Glass
At present only some of the fdt functionality is tested. Add more tests to cover the rest of it. Also turn on test coverage, which is now 100% with a small exclusion for a Python 3 feature. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-09-15dtoc: Handle 'reg' properties with unusual sizesSimon Glass
At present dtoc assumes that all 'reg' properties have both an address and a size. For I2C devices we do not have this. Adjust dtoc to cope. 2017-07-11dtoc: Add testsSimon Glass
Add some tests of dtoc's functionality to make it easier to expand and enhance the tool. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
